For some reason my 7 cup Aroma rice cooker won't stay on "cook" unless the little button is held down. It will just switch right back to warm as soon as you take your hand off the button. Is this an issue with the rice cooker? Or am I missing something? I've lost my manual, but from the looks of it, it's not a very complicated machine.

My rice cooker is not an Aroma, but it does the same thing from time to time. I just use a piece of foil or a matchbook cover or really whatever works to hold it on "Cook" and I keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn. This will happen a couple of times that I use it, and then the problem just disappears and reappears a couple of months later for a couple of uses.
You might want to just wedge something in there so you can use it today. I haven't bothered calling the manufacturer, but you might want to get their customer service number and give them a call and see what they suggest -- or if they're willing to give you a new one if it's fairly new, or have it repaired at their expense. But when mine sticks, I just punt.
