Which is more accurate a digital scale or a balance beam scale? Please help!?
I am 5ft 5in, 19 years old and my start weight was 197lbs and I am NOW 191.6lbs. I am trying to lose weight and my home digital scale says I am 191.6lbs, but the balance beam scale I use at the gym says I weigh 194lbs. I use my digital scale 1st thing in the morning before I eat breakfast and after I use the bathroom. But the balance beam scale I weigh myself in the afternoon, at my gym, after I have already eaten lunch etc
Which one is the more accurate one? Am I even losing weight?
Plus when I use my digital scale I have no clothes on( cause I'm at home) and I weigh myself on the hard tile bathroom floor. The balance beam scale I use I have clothes on(cause I'm at the gym).
Cause on the balance scale I've been using I have been the same weight for the longest time I have been working out and on my digital scale at home I am seeing progress.
The digital scale is but your weight fluctuates daily. This is why you should only weigh yourself in the morning once a week. Not every day and certainly not multiple times a day because it isn't even accurate besides that one time in the morning. There are so many factors, like water, food and clothes that affect your weight during the day so only go by the digital one once a week in the morning.

the balance scale is a guesstimate. You put it at 100 then push the little weight over till it kinda evens out. It can be off more so than a digital scale because this uses pressure plates instead of a balance scale.
