Once you taste homemade tortillas, you'll never go back. I make whole wheat tortillas with flax seed, pumpkin seed and sunflower seed and made with olive oil. They're very good, like a gordita and they don't fall apart like those store bought ones.
I don't think you can press flour tortillas, they need to be stretched either hand patted or rolled, They are so cheap to buy I don't think any one goes through the trouble any more.
