How to repaint a tubular steel?? bed please.?
hello
i have a tubular bed which i believe is made of steel and is white but some of the paint has come off and there are small areas of rust.
Could someone tell me what steps i need to take to repaint it (black) to ensure that the new paintwork lasts. Also I have a spray can of 'enamel' paint - is that ok to use or do i have to use something else?

Surface preparation is the most crucial process prior to painting
All rusted area to be thoroughly clean to bare metal ,old paint to be removed,oily surface to be thoroughly clean.
Then apply undercoat to all surface eg.lead oxide,
Then apply the finish coating(Gloss)
Enamel is optional to give a shinning surface for long lasting appearance
