The more I learn, the more I realize I need to keep learning in order to stay on top of my game. Young children grow very quickly because theirs is a world of continuous discovery. Everything is new to them and they have a sense of wonder. You do not always have to come first but you must continue to become better. What does this have to do with learning? It has everything to do with learning. When you stop learning you begin to decrease in a number of things. You will decrease in wisdom and knowledge, you lose your ability to attract better opportunities because you have been overtaken by information. You are in a less- learned position than you were last year if you don't learn anything this year. Your relevant experience will become irrelevant if it is not up to date.
1. In order to keep winning, you need to keep learning
2. Life is demanding and if you are going to keep winning keep learning
3. Books are not your only source of learning, mistakes are teachers of those that evaluate their experience pick out the positive and let go of the negatives
4. You exercised time - tested leadership skills when you were in school, why are you now a follower?
5. You had a developed sense of humour in school, that is how you were able to jest and make a fool of yourself in class. You didn't realize then that you had the ability to probably influence others for good as a speaker, comedian, preacher
6. You honoured protocol and authority because you would be punished for not doing so. Whilst no-one will put you on detention get the headmaster to beat, life has a way of placing limits to those that do not understand protocol, honour it and respect it
7. You learnt how to manage finances, your requirements had to suit your allocation, why is it that now you mismanage your finances and get into debt?
8. When you had to write and pass a certain exam by a certain date you made sure you focused on the attainment of the goal by that deadline.
9. You were flexible enough to respond to the demands of school life and responsible enough to keep the main thing as the main thing.
10. You were a balanced human being, engaged body, mind, soul and spirit
How is it then that you have forgotten what you have learnt. School was not about mathematics only. It was about you as well.
