Orville Redenbacher Kettle Korn?
I happen to be a big fan of Orville Redenbacher Kettle Korn Mini bags that go into the microwave. I heard that popping popcorn in those bags is unhealthy. I dont really know how true that is, however, I would like to purchase a hot air popper and open all those bags and cook my popcorn. It seems that Orville Redenbacher does not sell the Kettle Korn in a big jug so I would have to open the bags. Has anyone done that before, if so will those kernals work in the hot air popper?

If you like the microwave popcorn, eat the microwave popcorn. The thing that causes people to say they are unhealthy has nothing to do with the bag or the microwave, but it's the sugar, salt, and fat that the corn is popped with.
If you want a healthier alternative, you can pop regular popcorn in your air popper and sprinkle (just a little) sugar and salt on top. It won't be exactly the same because there's no fat, but it will have the salty sweetness that makes kettle corn delicious.
