How do you make Ice Tea at home?
Its 12:15am and I wanna make some Ice Tea, anyone know how to do it?
Here's how to do it in 10 minutes.
1) Start Boiling some water.
2) Put 1/2 as much water as you need into a measuring cup or other container.
3) Put tea into a pitcher / heat proof container. Loose is best, but bags work too.
4) Take boiling water off heat & wait 30 seconds.
5) Pour over Tea (filling halfway).
6) Let Steep for 3-5 minutes.
7) Either remove tea bags or strain leaves while pouring into another pitcher.
Add cool water to tea to dilute.
This is best to let cool in fridge to reduce sediment, but you can pour some in a glass over ice right now & put the rest in the fridge.
Sugar doesn't dissolve in cold water, so if you want it sweetened, make a simple syrup (1 part sugar, 1 part water, boil until dissolved, chill) and put it in to taste.
