I have a Vintage sunbeam mixmaster model 423A. I need to replace the cord and the part the cord.?
I need to replace the cord as well as the two prong part the cord plugs into (at side of mixer). I am also not sure how to disassemble the mixer in order to replace the part once I find one. This mixer is stainless steel and has a brown selector (12 choices). It was running fine when I broke one of the two prongs off. HELP! It would be great if I could find a repair manual for this, or even a user manual!
Typically you tip it upside down and you can see the screw holes. Use a phillips type screwdriver to remove them all and CAREFULLY separate the two halves. The power jack should lift right out. De-solder it or unscrew the wire nuts, whichever it has and then you can order a new jack and cord at most any appliance repair place.
